RPG’s Grand Day Out 2026 brought colleagues together at Rookery Hall in Cheshire for a 1920s-themed celebration combining a Murder Mystery, indoor games and musical bingo. The event provided an opportunity for colleagues to relax, have fun and create lasting memories away from the usual working environment.
Colleagues were invited to step back in time for a glamorous 1920s day, with many embracing the theme in their choice of outfit, to enjoy RPG’s Grand Day Out which is the firm’s equivalent of a Christmas party.
There was opportunity to admire one another’s impressive outfits during the drinks reception. From elegant flapper dresses to sharp suits inspired by the Roaring Twenties, everyone rose to the occasion, helping to create a wonderful atmosphere from the moment they arrived.
The Worleston Suite was dressed in elegant black and gold 1920’s themed décor, providing the perfect setting for lunch and an unforgettable afternoon of Murder Mystery intrigue. Through a series of engaging performances, a talented cast of actors introduced us over lunch to the reading of Lord Fortescue’s Will which soon took a dramatic and unexpected turn.
Adding to the fun, several RPG colleagues were invited to take on roles within the production, much to the delight of the audience. Their enthusiastic performances helped bring the story to life and provided plenty of memorable moments throughout the afternoon.
Following lunch, many colleagues took advantage of the beautiful weather and spent time in the hotel’s picturesque gardens. It provided a welcome opportunity to play some lawn games, catch up with colleagues and pose for photographs in their elegant 1920s attire.
The second part of the afternoon featured a lively game of musical bingo, which quickly had everyone involved with singing along to familiar favourites and many up on their feet dancing. It was the perfect way to round off the day and showcased the fun, friendly spirit that makes events like the Grand Day Out so special.
More importantly, the day gave colleagues from across the firm the opportunity to spend quality time together away from their usual working environment, strengthening relationships and creating lasting memories.
