RPG Chartered Financial Planners have once again been named in the Citywire New Model Adviser Top 100 listing which celebrates the best of the professional financial planning community.
“We are delighted that our continuing work to grow and develop both our practice and our people has been recognised by the team at Citywire New Model Adviser” commented John Sangster, Head of St Asaph Operations, Compliance and Chartered Wealth Manager .
The citation explains that over the last three years, RPG Chartered Financial Planners have taken great strides in formalising its business plan and ensuring future growth. Having engaged with external consultants, director John Sangster said the firm is now set for the next decade.
Within the next two years, Sangster anticipates that 50% of the firm’s advisers will be women. Two women have been promoted to management positions within the back office.
‘We are striving to address diversity and progression and are fostering an environment where there are no limits to opportunities,’ he said.
Since the introduction of consumer duty, the business has formally introduced a new ‘pro-bono’ segment, granting each adviser six pro-bono financial plans annually. The firm’s value proposition means fee-paying advice wouldn’t be in the best interests of these clients.
The New Model Adviser Top 100 represents research and analysis into the full spectrum of financial advisory firms. They look for evidence of factors such as well-qualified staff, robust investment propositions, carefully segmented client bases, good use of technology, willingness to share best practice, client education, recruitment and contribution to professional standards.
